Smart Lock

Niklas Jacob was approached by a small startup that was struggling creating a market for their smart lock handle for patio doors. They had a patent for smart lock but the previous design versions hadn’t been accepted by the marketplace. Niklas Jacob designed a new product, including packaging, and sales took-off. It made it possible for SecuYou to have it inserted in the distribution of Europe’s largest handle manufacturer group.

This was a schoolbook example of the importance of design. You might have a great idea but if it doesn’t look right, it will go nowhere.
